HELEN BANG
Role: Emma Bates
The role of the confident and moralistic prosecuting lawyer, Emma Bates was played by none other than the talented Helen Bang. A teacher and coach at the prestigious LSDA, Helen is a master of her craft. She performed English theatre in Copenhagen for 8 years before moving to London to perform in several top theatre productions. Her recent credits include Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rosaline in Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Livia in Women Beware Women. She can also be seen in several short and feature length films.
JUDE CAMPBELL
Role: Sam Dawson
The youngest member of the cast was newcomer Jude Campbell, who plays Sam, Peter’s son. With the weighty task of bringing Peter to a breaking point, it was vital that his performance was authentic. After seeing over 100 young actors, we knew as soon as we met Jude, he was the one for the role. Jude is already collecting accolades on stage too. In his new play the ‘Haunted Child” reviews praise his performance “Clearly one of the best new plays of the year... Equally convincing are youngsters Jack Boulter and Jude Campbell, who share the role of Thomas.”
MICCI GORROD
Role: Anns Dawson
Micci plays the role of Peter’s long-suffering wife, Anna. Her role required a combination of subtle vulnerability and kind-heartedness, which she delivers beautifully.
Micci has a great passion for theatre, television and film and is a strong deviser with excellent comic timing. Her credits to date include Loretta in the UK number one tour in ‘Secrets’, Laura in ‘La Marea’, directed by Mariano Pensotti and Ursula Loyer in ‘Vincent in Brixton’ performed at The Battersea Arts Centre. She has also had numerous roles in TV and short films.
ANTHONY GREEN
Role: Peter Dawson
With most of the film set against the backdrop of one static location, the team knew the film would rise or fall on the performance of the lead character, Peter Dawson. Seasoned actor Anthony Green effortlessly stepped into the role and delivered an emotionally resonant and memorable performance. No stranger to leading roles, Anthony has played Jonathan Berkoff in the British feature, The Honeytrap, Pirate Israel Hands in Hallmark’s Blackbeard, Captain Grozny in Anaconda 3 and Michael in the award winning short, Love Story. He has also played parts in The Bourne Identity, James Bond and has acted in series alongside the likes of Derek Jacobi and Richard Grant.
THE LIBRARIAN
Role: Colin Bower
Possibly the most challenging role to cast, was the Librarian. A deliberately mysterious man who fits no mold of time or place. English born actor, Colin Bower stepped into the Librarians shoes and delivered wonderful performance that carried the humor, compassion and wisdom that characterizes the Librarian.
A veteran in the industry, Colin has been performing for over 50 years. He has appeared in series such as Coronation Street, Brookside, Emmerdale, The Ondine Line, Peak Practice, Lost Empires and Signs and Wonders. He also is known for his role of Peter, in the British Feature, Time of her Life.
DAVID WARWICK
Role: Charles Thompson
As soon David stepped into the casting room, the team knew the search for Peter’s formidable boss, Charles Thompson, was over! Acting since 1967 and Directing since 1991, David has appeared in many well-loved television series and popular theatre productions in the past 40 years. These include Doctor Who, Yes Miniser, Only Fools and Horses, EastEnders, Peak Practise and Keeping up Appearances.
Recently he has been in the long running West End murder mystery The Mousetrap, and played Sgt Wilson alongside Leslie Grantham in the stage adaptation of Dad's Army.
